FAQ's
1. Are Jersey E-Bikes street legal?
Our electric bikes are primarily designed for off-road and private property use. Laws regarding electric bikes vary widely by state, city, and even trail system, especially when it comes to motor power and top speed. Before riding on public roads, bike paths, or trails, we recommend checking your local regulations to ensure compliance.
2. Do I need a license, registration, or insurance to ride one?
In most cases, no license, registration, or insurance is required when riding on private property. Requirements for public use depend on local laws and how the bike is classified. If you plan to ride outside private land, always verify local regulations to understand what’s permitted in your area.
3. How do I choose the right electric bike for me?
The best bike for you depends on your height, riding experience, terrain, and how you plan to use it. Some models are built for trail riding, others for mixed terrain or performance use. If you’re unsure, our team can help recommend a model based on how and where you want to ride.
4. Are these bikes suitable for beginners?
Yes. Many riders are new to electric bikes when they purchase from us. Most models allow you to start in lower power modes, making it easy to build confidence before using higher performance settings. Proper safety gear and responsible riding are always recommended.
5. How fast do these electric bikes go?
Top speeds vary by model and riding conditions. Performance specifications are listed on each product page. Always ride responsibly and follow applicable laws and safety guidelines.
6. How far can I ride on a single charge?
Range depends on several factors, including rider weight, terrain, speed, riding style, and battery usage. Manufacturer-estimated ranges are listed on each product page, but real-world range may be lower depending on conditions.
7. How long does shipping take, and how are bikes delivered?
Orders typically ship within a few business days, depending on availability. Delivery time varies by location. Bikes are shipped directly to your door, securely packaged, and partially assembled. Basic setup is required upon delivery. We offer local delivery services, with the option of receiving your new bike in-box or fully assembled! Regular Delivery is in-box only.
8. Do I need to assemble the bike myself?
Minimal assembly is required. Most bikes arrive largely assembled and only require installing a few components such as the handlebars or front wheel. Instructions are included, and many customers choose to have a local bike or powersports shop complete the final setup. For local deliveries or pickups, Jersey E-Bikes offers full assembly services for an extra charge.
9. Do your bikes come with a warranty?
Yes. All bikes include a manufacturer warranty that covers specific components for a defined period. Warranty terms vary by model and manufacturer, and full details are provided with your purchase.
10. What is your return policy?
All sales are final. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or offer refunds once an order has been placed.
Because electric bikes and related products are high-value items, we encourage customers to carefully review product descriptions, specifications, and compatibility details before completing a purchase. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to our no-return, no-refund policy.
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery so we can evaluate the issue.
